For the last few months, I've been volunteering for a program called
Alumni Sharing Knowledge(ASK) at DePaul university. At ASK, alumni who have been out in the professional workplace for a few years help current students and recent graduates with interviewing skills, career advice and give them a preview of what awaits them beyond college.
This experience has led me to examine my own career and professional experience: the successes, the failures, and behaviors that helped me the most. I found that I could ascribe all my success to following the 4 ABCD Principles:
- A - Attitude
- B - Branding
- C - Connections
- D - Dedication to life-long learning
I believe that if all the ABCD Principles are followed, they can help a person achieve continued success in their professional lives, while having a high job satisfaction rate.
Over the next few posts, I will go over each principle separately to examine what role each principle plays in creating professional success
